Adult Ministries
Bible Instruction:
Central to all the ministries of Countryside is the Bible.
We provide three services where the truths of Scripture are proclaimed,
explained, and then applied. We also provide a variety of Adult Bible Classes
that are designed to address the issues related to each group's stage of
life. These classes meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m.
Small Groups:
Spiritual maturity is the basic goal of the small group structure. These small groups meet to help each person in the church identify with others on a regular basis. Everyone is encouraged to be involved in this essential ministry.
Men's and Women's Bible Studies:
A time of training, spiritual refreshment and encouragement
is provided each week for both men and women through in-depth Bible studies.
Various books and topics are used to aid in gaining a greater understanding
of the Bible in separate studies designed to apply to the needs of men and
women.
Counseling and Discipleship:
We provide a 10-week, one-on-one, discipleship program
for those who are new believers or for those who desire a solid foundation
for future growth. We also offer personal, marital, and family counseling
from a biblical perspective.
Young Adult Class:
Y.A.C. (Young Adults Class) is a group of college age and post-college single adults that meets on Sunday evening at 6:00 pm for Bible study, spiritual fellowship, and accountablility.
Children's Ministries
Infantry:
One of the most important "divisions" of Countryside is the
nursery. We feel that coming to church should be a good experience for our children, so we
strive to make their time in the infantry fun. A structured program is available for all
the services of the church for newborns to age three.
Sunday School:
The aim of our Sunday School is to point the lives of our children
toward Christ so that they will be equipped to handle life in a way that honors Him.
Sunday School begins at 9:00 a.m. and is available for children age two through adult.
CHOW Time:
Children from age 2-1/2 to grade three may participate in their own
special Childrens Hour of Worship during the Sunday morning service. They are
dismissed from the main service after the song portion to receive a well balanced-diet
from God's Word.
Pewee Kids 4 Truth:
Children from ages four to six learn, grow, sing, and
memorize truths about our great God together each Sunday evening during the school year at 6:00 p.m.
Kids 4 Truth:
Those children first through fourth grade are encouraged to join us during the school year on
Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m. for this special ministry. Kids 4 Truth focuses on building a foundation of key scriptural
truths about God in the hearts of our children. Those who participate in this ministry will spend time learning biblical answers to questions about God and His word, and memorizing important verses that teach us about the nature of God.
Junior Youth Group:
For those children in the fifth and sixth grade the Junior Youth Group offers a smooth transition from Kids 4 Truth to the Youth Group. Through personal bible study and Biblical instruction each Sunday
evening at 6:00 p.m. the children are encouraged in their spiritual growth and provided practical Biblical application
for issues they can relate to in their daily life.
Youth Ministries
Camp:
One highlight of the summer is the teen's trip to one of several camps that is chosen during the year. This is an excellent opportunity for teens to be exposed to preaching that focuses on their season of life and challenges them to grow in their walk with Christ.
Weekly Meetings:
The
Junior and Senior High young people meet each Sunday evening at 6:00 p.m. This
is a great time of growing together in God's grace as they study His Word and
how to apply it to issues that relate specifically to them.
Bible Studies:
During the summer months our teens are encouraged to participate in weeknight Bible studies. These evening studies provide opportunities for discussion and encouragement as our youth grow in their walk with Christ.
Activities:
Each month a variety of activities are scheduled that provide opportunities for our teens to develop relationships with each other and with the youth sponsors. These events are designed to promote interaction within the church body and to open doors for mentoring and fellowship.
