Ladies Tea
Ladies, you are invited to a special evening of
fellowship and friendship on Friday, March 9th! Sancha Moura will be here and graciously sharing her life story and testimony of salvation.
Sancha is coming with her husband Joao and
daughter Hanna, with the group from Brazil.
They serve alongside Pastor Roger Johansen,
our missionary to the northern city of Maceio.
This will be a great evening to get together with other Christian women, to encourage and be encouraged. Please join us! We will meet in the
Youth Room at Countryside
New to Countryside? This is a perfect opportunity
to get connected. It would be an honor
to have you!
Mens Basketball
Looking for some exercise and a way to connect with other men? Any man over age 18 is encouraged to come out Monday night at 7:30 for a round of basketball. Then on Wednesday, all men over 40 will be shooting some hoops at 7:30pm. See Dave Crim for details.
All Church Fellowship Coming Up
On Sunday, March 4, we will have the privilege of hearing from Pastor Eriomar who will be sharing during the evening service. Following the service there will be an all-church family finger food fellowship in honor of the Brazilian group that Pastor Roger will be bringing. We hope that everyone will be able to come out that evening to show the same hospitality to our guests that has been demonstrated repeatedly to our missions teams that travel to Brazil.
A sign up sheet can be found in the foyer and Carol Salsbury will be available to answer any questions you might have.
Couples Night Out
On Friday, March 2, the 2012 Brazil mission team will be providing an evening of childcare for children from 0 to 12 years of age at church in exchange for a donation, in order to raise money for their trip this summer. There will be many games, activities and fun for the children throughout the night. Parents may drop off their child starting at 5:30 and pick up by 9:00. Snacks will be provided, but children should bring a sack dinner or eat beforehand. We would appreciate sign ups ahead of time, but parents can bring their children on Friday even if they did not get a chance to sign up. See Alysha Hines or Stephanie Dietzel for questions.
Mens Institute
The next Men’s Institute will be Saturday, March 3rd, at 7:30 AM. Pastor Bryan Neal will be speaking on parents building a strong relationship with the spouse of a newly married son or daughter. Sign up this Sunday in the foyer.
Young Womens Bible Study
A young woman’s Bible study is being held on Monday nights (7:00 -8:30) and is open to all Jr. High, High School and Young Adult Class girls. It will be alternating between the Brammer’s house and the home of Mike & Kim Summers. This will be a refreshing time in God’s Word as we study the Proverbs 31 woman. See or contact Sarah Ruhl at sarahbearjr4him@aol.com for more information.
Vacation Bible School Dates Are Set!
VBS will occur this year July 9-13. There will be an informational meeting on March 4th after the morning service for anyone interested in helping this year.
Six Months In India
In June Brittany Behn will be leaving for a short-term missions trip to India to assist a young family as they finish language school and get established. She needs to raise $6,000 for travel and living expenses. The Leadership Team has approved receiving designated funds to help with Brittany’s support. If you would like to help, please mark “India” on your offering envelope.
Summer Missions Trip
This summer, Michael and Stephanie Dietzel, Alysha Hines, Valerie Waddell, and Josh Yeomans will be headed to Brazil on a short term mission’s trip to serve with our missionaries the Johansens. This group, lead by Pastor Bryan Neal, will be helping with Bible studies, leading a youth retreat, working with children, sharing the gospel, and assisting the Johansens as needed.
