Johansen Family Arrives Wednesday
Pastor Roger, his wife Crystal and their children Joshua, Jordan Jonathan, Juliana and James will arrive this Wednesday, May 29th at 9:53 am at Kansas City International Airport on Delta flight number 1272 coming from Atlanta. It would be great if we could encourage them by being there for their arrival. We have the privilege of their presence with us for fifteen months.
Encouraged Hearts
Ladies, mark your calendars for our next Encouraged Hearts Gathering! We will meet here at the church on Saturday morning, June 8th, from 9:30 -11:30. Our study through Titus 2:3-5 has been great, and now we will look at what it means to love your children.
As always, we will have a teaching time from God’s Word, and then break into groups for discussion and prayer. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only be encouraged but to connect with other women at Countryside.
Bridal Shower
Ladies, please come celebrate with Amanda Nicoll at her Bridal Shower on Saturday, June 15tth. She will be marrying Caleb Bucher July 13th. The shower will be at 10:00 a.m. in the youth room and all ladies are welcome. She and Caleb are registered at Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel and Target.

VBS Registration Has Begun!
VBS Registration Has Begun!
Summer is almost here, and so is VBS! We are now taking registration and donations for this year, so please go out and check the sign ups in the foyer. You can register your children either in the foyer or online at
cside.org. If you would like to donate items, please write your name next to the item you would like to donate and then take the slip of paper next to it to remind yourself what you signed up for. We’re looking forward to VBS, Investigation Destination, and we hope you join us!
Mexico Property Opportunity
Please be praying with Pastor Brian Warne concerning the purchase of a parcel of property in his neighborhood that has just come available and would serve as an excellent location for a future church site in Mochicahui. The property will cost approximately $15,000.00 US.
The leadership team has approved this as a special giving opportunity for the body of Countryside to participate in, given that there is a short window of time this property will be available. If you would like to contribute to this need, indicate so by marking other on the giving envelope and using the words “Mexico Property” in the space provided. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.
Children’s Hour of Worship
Children’s Hour of Worship (CHOW) is looking for one or two more teachers to share in teaching children ages 3 to 5. With the addition of 2 teachers it would mean only teaching every three months! The curriculum is easy to follow and engages both teacher and child to dig deeper into God’s true Word, the Bible. See Larry Reese if you want to be a part of this exciting ministry.
American Sign Language Classes
For those who are interested there will be ASL 1 and 2 classes offered for people ages 10 and up this summer beginning June 9th. The 8-week class taught by Kalena Summers and Danielle Jacobs will be held on Sunday afternoons from 4:30-5:45. If you are interested, please sign up in the foyer, and feel free to contact either Kalena (krosesummers@gmail.com) or Danielle (jahwkchick11@aim.com) with your questions.
Junior Campers - Ahoy Mates!
All hands on deck! It’s time to draw the anchors and cast away for a an exciting High Seas Journey. Countryside will host its own Junior Camp for those between the ages of 8-12 by August 15th. There will be fun activities, God-honoring music, and dynamic preaching from God’s Word. It will be a spiritually challenging and friendship building time for our Countryside youth. The camp runs the week of July 29 - August 2. A registration form including the cost and other information will be available on the sign up table.
